Dirty Affogato.

The Italians gave us the affogato: a scoop of vanilla, drowned in hot espresso. Civilised. Restrained. We respect it enormously — and then ignored it. Ours takes a generous pour of Sooo Original over the top, which is the moment it stops being a coffee and becomes a decision.

You’ll need

  • 2 scoops of vegan vanilla ice cream
  • 1 double shot of espresso, properly hot
  • A confident pour of Sooo Original — about 50ml. This is not the moment for thimbles.

Do this

  1. Two scoops of vanilla in your nicest glass. The one you don’t lend out.

  2. Pull a double shot of espresso. Hot — it’s here to melt things.

  3. Pour the espresso over the ice cream. Let it do its thing.

  4. Pour the Sooo Original over the top. Generously. Restraint is for other recipes.

  5. Eat with a spoon. Don’t explain.

Serve it to someone who “doesn’t really do vegan.” Tell them after.
