The deal between you and us. Plain English. No hidden bits.
Last updated: June 2026. By placing an order on this site you agree to these terms. They sit alongside (and don’t replace) your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
This site is operated by Dirty Cow Chocolate Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Company number and registered office to be added when these terms are finalised.
The best way to reach us is eatme@dirtycowchocolate.com. We reply within one working day, usually sooner.
Adding things to your bag isn’t the order. The order is placed when you click Checkout (or email us, while we’re still on email checkout) and we send a confirmation email back.
We can decline an order if:
All prices on the site include UK VAT. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay — no surprise fees.
We accept all major cards through Stripe. Your card details are handled by Stripe directly; we never see them.
We post within 2 working days of receiving your order. Royal Mail (or DPD on bigger orders) handles the rest, usually 1–3 working days.
If your order hasn’t arrived within 7 working days, email us and we’ll chase it.
Chocolate and cream liqueur are perishable, so the statutory 14-day cooling-off doesn’t normally apply once an order has shipped. That said:
Refunds go back to the original payment method within 5 working days.
Our cream liqueur range contains 17% alcohol. You must be 18 or over to buy it. By placing an order containing the cream liqueur, you confirm you are 18+.
We may ask for proof of age at delivery. The courier can refuse to leave the parcel if no one 18+ is available to receive it.
Full ingredient and allergen statements are on every product page. We always recommend you check before ordering, especially if you have a serious allergy.
All our products are made in a facility that handles tree nuts. If your allergy is severe, get in touch before you order and we’ll talk you through it.
The monthly box (£12 / 3 bars / free post) is a recurring subscription. You can pause, skip or cancel any time from the management link in every confirmation email. No exit fees, no minimum term.
If you change your mind within the first 14 days of signing up and haven’t had a box yet, email us and we’ll refund.
Trade is governed by separate terms, sent with the wholesale pricing pack. If you’re a stockist, email sales@dirtycowchocolate.com for the pack.
The Dirty Cow name, logos, packaging, product photography and website copy are owned by us. Don’t copy them without asking. We’re generally happy for fans to share photos on social — that’s different.
We’re liable for what we should be: the chocolate arriving as described, safe to eat, and on time. We’re not liable for things outside our reasonable control (postal strikes, weather, things you ate alongside ours, etc).
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other UK consumer protection law.
If something goes wrong, email eatme@dirtycowchocolate.com first. We resolve most things within 48 hours.
If we can’t agree, these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be heard in the English courts.
We may update these terms occasionally. The version that applies to your order is the one published on the day you placed it. Material changes will be flagged in the newsletter.
